Call for Papers
The Seventh Biennial of The Indian Society for Ecological (INSEE)
on ‘Global Change, Ecosystems, Sustainability’
to be held from 5–8 December 2013
at Tezpur University, Assam
jointly hosted by Tezpur University and OKDISCD

The Seventh Biennial Conference of the Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE) on ‘Global Change, Ecosystems, Sustainability’ will be held from 5–8 December 2013 at Tezpur University, Assam, jointly hosted by Tezpur University and OKD Institute of Social Change and Development, Guwahati.

The conference shall address the crucial issues of sustainability in the context of anthropogenic pressures that have accelerated global change and put at risk our ecosystems. The contributions and plenary talks are expected to cover theoretical, methodological as well as empirical issues. Inter-disciplinary contributions are particularly encouraged keeping local or global focus. Papers are invited under the following sub-themes, but cross-cutting thematic papers would also be considered:

Kindly submit a 400-word abstract, mentioning specific theme/sub-theme, latest by 10 June 2013. Acceptance of abstract will be communicated by 25 June 2013. Short-listed abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper. Authors must send in their contribution of 12,000 words (maximum) for refereeing latest by 31 July 2013. Final acceptance will be communicated by 15 August 2013. Abstract and full papers, in soft copy, should be sent to:

A limited amount of travel grant will be available to support some of the participants whose papers are accepted for presentation in the conference. Selected papers from the conference are expected to be published in a book by INSEE.
